World Thalassemia Day, observed on 8th May 2025, is being organized by the Department of Clinical Hematology at SCB Medical College & Hospital (SCBMCH) to raise awareness, promote prevention, and strengthen care for individuals living with thalassemia. Under the theme "Empowering Lives, Embracing Hope: Advancing Thalassemia Care through Awareness, Prevention, and Treatment", the event aims to bring together medical professionals, students, and the community to highlight the importance of early diagnosis, comprehensive care, and collective responsibility in managing this genetic blood disorder.
